History-list in Views works confusing ...

Hi,
I spent some time to work with the history-list in the Views.

I expected, that every time I click on a category or folder, this will be placed ate the top of the history. But if I click on a e.g. folder, that allready exist, then this becomes marked and is not added at the top ...

Sometimes the activated cattegories or folders are placed at the top, sometimes they are marked ... is this a bug or deeper IM5-philosophy?

Yes, a little bit. But there I asked only about the marking itself, now I'm asking about the complete functinonal way in the view-histories ...

But may be it can be answered here together, then I close the other one or delete it.

The general idea is this (I've modeled the behavior based on how web browsers work):

1. When you select a folder not already in the history, it will be added to the top and become the current folder in the history (check mark).
2. When you switch to a folder already in the history, this folder becomes the current folder in the history (check mark) but the folder stays at its position in the history. This is the only way the Previous an Next controls can work.

If I do in Firefox and click on an existing entry in the history, then it becames the top-entry in the history ...

Thats the bookmark manager.

I uses the Forwards/Backwards button metaphor. If you look closely at the drop-down menu for these buttons, you'll notice that it works like the history in IMatch.

No we are talking about the same problem in two posts. I'll close this. Please reply in your other post. No need to complicate things further by using two threads.
