Paste Image Description

I have 2 images, taken with different cameras. One from a Samsung mobile and one from a Nikon camera.
I write a description on the Nikon image, and want to copy the description to the other image.
I use Clipboard Copy and then Clipboard Paste Attributes and Data (ctrl+shift+V) and check\choose only "Image Description".

The descrition is copied, BUT the exif info is also copied, so the the Samsung photo now has the data (exif) from Nikon!

I often copy categories and descriptions from one image to another, but the camera settings must of course not be copied.
I use Imatch 2019.8.4  but got the same issue in the latest Imatch 2020 trial.
Is this a bug, or do I have to copy descriptions in other ways ?

Yes, copy description from metadatapanel or from "File notes" will work, but why can't I just press Ctrl+C on one image and ctrl+shift+V and choose Categories and Image descriptions ?

From help system:
"For example, the Image Description tag set copies Headline, Description and related tags."  Why does EXIF data get copied  ?

I have no idea. I have not changed anything in this area for maybe two years.
I recommend you open a bug report so I can schedule time for a later IMatch version.

I have been doing this for years...so I have probably hundreds of photos with wrong exif data...
I only noticed this now, because of bringing in some mobile photos.....and noticed that after pasting descriptions the smartphone photos suddenly had Nikon lens data etc...
I have opened a bug report for this issue.
