My computer was just updated by Windows, and created a lot of messes... mostly fixed now.

For iMatch windows made the database seem to be in a different location ... but is where is always was.  So that is fixed.

I am still trying to find where my personalized iMatch defaults are .... for example for personalized "workspaces".

Also my ID plate is missing and is back to default.

I assume those files are still somewhere, but where should I look and how should I reconnect them to iMatch.

I'm not sure that I understand how a Windows update can impact IMatch or its database or settings.
All IMatch settings are stored in the central IMatch Settings Database, usually in the C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\config folder.

IMatch stores settings on a per-database, per-user, per-computer basis, or a mix thereof.
Unless the settings database was deleted or your computer name or your user name has changed, all your settings should be exactly as before.

Solved. Don't worry... nothing wrong with iMatch.  It is a Known but in Windows since February.

Windows keeps signing you in with a temporary profile (even though you signed in normally) ... thus all app data etc is not available.

Solution.  Login in SAFE MODE then shutdown and restart... everything (I hope) back to normal!   Took about 5 hours to figure that out.

How strange. Never heard about or experienced that. Lucky me!

Is this the issue you're talking about?

I'd never heard about it either.

Opened the url and scanned through it... Must be fun (not) for people who just open mail, WordPad etc. (many many users who don't know way around trying to "fix" their PC.)
:(
It's not surprising scammers can have field days  :(

+1
There's certainly a lot of garbage in between the actual info.
