IMatch flashed me a message - via the Notification Area - to the effect that I have modified metadata, but the duration was too short for me to read it, in its entirety.  Therefore, what could this message be?  Also, does IMatch retain a record - until deleted by the user - of all past displayed messages, as does Windows 10, in its notification area of the taskbar?

The notification area usually does not close itself when it shows a message...?
There is no notification about modified metadata that I'm aware of.
There is one about too many unconfirmed faces. One about running the diagnosis. One for running a compact and optimize. One for a missing spell checker dictionary. One for a disabled DYK panel. A welcome message. That's about it.

If you see the notification again, make a screen shot so we know more.

It happened again - "You have modified metadata while ... ".  That's all the more of the message I could read, let alone, having time to take a screen shot, because the time it was up, was less than a second.  I'm attaching the log file, in hopes that that can help.

There is no entry for this for the notification area.

There is an info popup (a small window that shows and hides automatically unless you move the mouse into it). This popup just tells you that you have modified metadata while a filter is active.
The message reads: You have modified metadata while a filter is active. You may need to re-apply the filter by clicking the green 'Apply the filter' button in the Filter Panel toolbar.
