Good morning, Mario, I told you I would have questions.

I created a filter to show all my dng files. I have my entire hierarchy selected in the file window. I have clicked on the Load filter into Active, as well as Apply Filter and nothing happens. Note the No Filter Active.

What have I missed?

Thanks

Note: Other stored filters, ie, 3 stars or better worked as expected.

You did not enable the File Format Filter. Click the check box in the header of that Filter to enable it.
Inactive filters use a gray header color, and active filters use a blue one.
The Filter Panel also shows a blue "No filters active" message at the top if no filter is active.

The changes you make in the filter panel immediately affect the File Window. No need to load anything unless you want to load a previously stored filter for editing.

Sometimes configuring a filter while it is active can be slow. Hence you can temporarily de-activate it with the check box. When you are done configuring it, you re-enable it again.
You can also enable and disable individual filters at any time, without losing the settings.
You can also pause the entire Filter panel to see the unfiltered content.

Thanks, Mario. I knew I was missing something obvious.
