I want to compare images in iMatch side-by-side. I've been using Capture and Lightroom over the years and they let you select two or more images to compare in one window. This is useful for comparing similar images and deleting the one(s) I don't want.

I iMatch is capable of doing this but I searched the help, read the keyboard shortcuts document, and played around a little with the program and couldn't figure out how to do it.

If this is possible in iMatch, can someone explain how to do this?

Also, once you have the comparison up, how do you delete (from the catalog) one or other of the images? It seems like the delete didn't work when I bring an image up in the full-sized view window.

You can display up to 8 images site-by-side in the Viewer.
Controlling the Number of Files to Display

To mark an image for deletion in the Viewer, press <Del>.
The Delete Action

May I ask how you have searched the help?
I just typed in multiple into the help search box and the 3rd result was "Displaying multiple files in the Viewer".
I'm always improving the help and maybe you used some uncommon search terms I need to consider?

Tip: Each help topic has a table of contents you can expand right at the top.

I searched for "side by side" and "side-by-side". I couldn't think of a better search term at the time. That was the first thing that came to mind  :P I thought "I wonder if I can compare images side-by-side like in C1 or LR?". I probably should have searched for "compare" instead.

Thanks for the feedback.
When I search for side-by or side-by-side, the first result is the help page for the Viewer. Maybe a typo...
I have now also mentioned side-by-side explicitly near the top of the Viewer help ("Typical Uses") so users can find it easier. Until now there was only a "Display one or multiple files" point in the list.
