Editing metadata of all stacked copies at once.

Mario,

If this feature is already working, please let me know how I can use it.

Once photos are stacked, I would like to be able to edit the metadata and have IMatch 5 automatically make the same changes to the other photos included in the stack - without unstacking first.  Obviously, there may be times when you would want to edit only one of the items, so there may need to be some switch to allow for this.

I like that when I auto stack NEF and JPG files, IMatch 5 puts the JPG on top, because it is usually the better looking (finished) of the two copies.  If I add/change the description of only the JPG file and later edit the NEF file and write over the JPG, I'd lose the description changes (or other metadata changes).  I know that I can unstack the files, highlight them all and make the changes, but it seems like the program could save me some time if it did it automatically.

Thanks.

The principle is always the same: IMatch works on all selected files. If files are stacked, they cannot be selected.

The file window just does not know about them and thus none of the commands can work. This is a design decision which has been made a long time ago - it simplifies the already overly complex stack and version stack handling, and is consistent with how all other features work in IMatch 5. Stacked files are just that - hidden and unreachable.

Changing this behavior will cause a major rewrite of a lot of code and I'm sure that I won't do that in the foreseeable future.
