can't start a new 2020 installation

I am installing imatch on a computer that had an old installation (2019.8.4).   I chose to uninstall the 2019 versions prior to installing the latest released version of 2020.

Downloaded the exe from the website after logging in.  Installation of 2020 appeared to succeed without any problems, however 2020 will not start.   I double click on the desktop icon, or on the 2020 executable in the program files\..\imatch6  folder,  and for a couple  of seconds I see the hourglass, followed by a moment of disk activity, but the disk activity eventually stops with no evidence of Imatch running.   Nothing on display, nothing in task manager, no warnings.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you check the hardware and software requirements for IMatch 2020 before installing?

There are listed/linked on the download page, the IMatch 2020 What's New? page, all email communication sent out to IMatch 2019 users last year, in the customer panel notice you get when you use your discount voucher etc.

Especially important is the part about the requirement for a processor with support for AVX technoloy? See the Is Your Computer compatible for more information and a little utility for testing if your PC can run IMatch 2020.
