If I copy images (outside IM) which contain GPS data in a folder already known to IM and refresh the folder within IM, no geodecoding will be done with the new images. In case that I add the images with drag'n'drop as new images, geodecoding will be done.
Is there a special setting that geodecoding will be also done afterwards a refresh?

Attached my settings for geodecoding.

Mario

IMatch does not do automatic reverse geoc-coding.

From the help: Automatic Reverse Geocoding

QuoteIf you enable automatic reverse geocoding in the Geo & Maps configuration settings, IMatch automatically fills in or updates the address data when you add or update GPS coordinates for one or more files. This only works if your PC is connected to the Internet.

Maybe you have enabled a metadata template which assigns a location to new files based on their coordinates?

I have set a location at the map and an area around this coordinate. If I add an image containing a coordinate which is within this area, the location will be set to the image. But this works only if an image will be added by drag'n'drop resp "Add folder" at the folder tree and not if the folder will be refreshed.

No, I don't have. I have followed your advice a few weeks ago not to set locations via metadata template.

This is a function that is performed by metadata templates.
Check Edit > Preferences > Indexing to recall if you run metadata templates during indexing.

Ah, I'found the setting! I have not set a template for updated files but new files only. Therefore, no geodecoding will be done because it is part of the templates.

Issue solved.  ;D

Mario

I thought as much. IMatch is very powerful and it takes a while to learn about every feature.
