Face Link: Most recently used names at top of list

It would be very useful to have the most recently used names at top of the list of the face link. In my use case I have several persons which have different names (forename and surname). Currently I filter for the different names which requires always to enter the related name in a row of several persons.
If the most recently used names would be at the top, filtering is not (or less) necessary.

Wouldn't it be better to introduce two tabs: "Search" (like what we have now) and "Recent", which contains a similar check-box list, but showing all 50 or so recently used faces, in most recent-first order?

Different tabs are a good proposal. In such case it would be useful that IM saves which tab was actived when the window was closed.

The amount of saved names in recently used is a good question. My personal opinion is to have the last ten names but I am sure different use cases are demanding for more or less. For future releases maybe a setting for the amount of recently used names could be implemented.

I have implemented it without tabs. A simple check box works great:



When you check the box, the list only shows (and searches in) the list of recently assigned persons.
The list is sorted to show the most-recently assigned person on top.

If the box is not checked, all persons are shown (and searched) and the list is sorted by label.

The Clear button allows you to clear the recent list.
