Events and Imatch Clipboard

For adding files to a file based event I tried to use the Imatch Clipboard. I would like to drag ang drop files from Imatch Clipboard to an event, but it does not work.
To add new files to an event, you have to copy and paste files, so I thought the clipboard could be useful for this. But the "copy all" button just duplicates the file in the current folder....and drag and drop will not add files to an event.
I found no way to drop files from Imatch Clipboard to Event View, and was not able to create a new event based on files from the Imatch Clipboard either.
Is the Imatch Clipboard not integrated with Events at all ?
