Do not start EVENT timeline a month before earliest date

Currently the timeline in the events display starts a month before the lowest date.
I see no reason for this and find it inconvenient.

This is intentional. There is a short period before the first and after the last event.
This is to make give you some extra room to navigate and to make the layout look smoother and not as compressed.
