Status bar shows "Application is busy"

I started IMatch but did nothing for over 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the "Application is busy" indicator keeps spinning.
The "Info & Activity" panel shows 0 entries in the queue.
What is the reason for this?

IMatch is doing many things in the background, from updating collections, categories, reacting on Windows file system events etc.
Look at the end of the log file to see what IMatch was doing.

Can I work normally (face recognition, Renamer....) or quit IMatch while it is still working in the background or should I wait until everything is done???

You can close IMatch. When you start it again, it will continue where it left off.
