I know, IMatch has the Hierarchical View Feature, which can readily reflect the hierarchical structure, with respect to which view-mode IMatch is currently in.  This lets the user, for example, to be in Media & Folders View, and then, group all files - in the file window - by their folders.  Likewise, if browsing files, in Collections->Recently Viewed, this capability would then group by - Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, etc.  What I want to find out, however, if possible, is if I'm now in Collections ->Recently Viewed, can I group the files I see, in the file window, by the folders, if I would so choose?

No. You cannot group files in the File Window by arbitrary objects.
You can just use the Media & Folders View and the Collections Filter for the same purpose. This shows you the contents of one or more collections group be folders.
