Is it possible to create a data-driven category that contains all images that contain people A and B?
I know that I can do this via filters, but I would prefer a category.

Use {File.Persons.Label}, enable value splitting on ; and use the Filter option when you only want to include specific persons.
Read Data-driven Categories Based on Variables for details.

Not sure what the purpose is for this category, though.
You can also just create a category with a formula based on the collection IMatch maintains for each person, via the @Collection formula.
Collection View > Annotations > Region > People.

I have the settings for the data driven categoriy as shown in the attachment.

But when I update the category, it includes all the images in the database.

What am I doing wrong?

Correction: I don't see any images in the category. But all images under "Other".

Don't use " in your filter "Ute" => Ute

Thank you.
I have since implemented your suggestion and created a formula based category. This works very well and meets my requirements.
