Why write back copied files?

When copying a file to another folder without any modifications to metadata, both the original and the copy require a write back - why?  If a file is moved, write back is not required.

Copying a file produces new ids etc. You create a complete new set of metadata in the database, the copy is imported like any other file that comes into the database.
Moving a file does only change "internal" tags, like the photools.com folderName and/or file name.
Tip: Point the cursor at the write-back pen to see which tags IMatch needs to write.

OK, thanks - I understand that, but the original also requires write back.
