Opening a stack loses Focus

Hi Mario

this is a minor, generally thing, what I spotted:

Not sure, if this is related to the already solved issue:

https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=9788

If I do click on a stacked image and then Ctrl right arrow (to open the stack) I could in version 2019 after this hit Ctlr left arrow to close the stack.

This is not more possible, after open a stack it loses the focus and first I have to click on the left mouse for having again the focus and then hit Ctrl left (close the stack).

So it seems that open a stack (in the media folder in my case) loses the focus.

I have a keyboard (corsair), with what I do put some short keys together, and hence these keys workes also not more.

As I wrote, a minor thing.

Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

This is related.
The file window loses focus to one of the other windows while reloading and it does not force it back.
Fixed for the next release.

When I change the file window layout with shortcut ctrl+L,1 the file window still loses focus. Can't get it back with any keyboard shortcut, only with the mouse. Is this related? Normal behavior? If not, can it be repaired?

Thanks, Hans

This is normal. "Changing the layout" involves toolbar operations, a complete re-creation of the File Window etc. A very complicated and expensive operation.
Window focus management will interfere and place the focus on another window when the File Window is recreated. May also be a computer-specific timing issue...

Do you switch File Window layouts often? Why?
Does the standard F9,F9 keyboard shortcut for focusing the File Window not work on your computer? If so, what kind of computer do you use?

See Keyboard Cheat Sheets for a list of all frequently used keyboard shortcuts.

Maybe I can do something about this, but so far no user ever considered this to be an issue. F9,F9 works great usually.

Aha, clear.

F9,F9 doesn't work either. I does work however, when I quickly choose another Windows program with Alt + Tab, and then return to iMatch with Alt + Tab. Then F9,F9 gets back the focus and I can choose another layout. That will do.

Thanks, Hans

This sounds like something obscure is going on on your system.
F9,F9 is a global shortcut, working independent from whatever panel or window is selected in IMatch.
If this fails, something running on your system is maybe interfering with keyboard processing or window focus?
Virus checker? Some automation tools? Developer software? No idea, sorry.
