Hello,
I have iMatch database based on files stored under one common folder, just c:\photos\file1; c:\photos\file2; c:\photos\file12987
Now all these files were moved into folders like c:\photo\folder1\file1-100; c:\photo\folder2\file101-200 etc.
Is there a way to update file locations in database and still preserve all info stored for every file?

Mario

Yes.
You only need to relocate the folders in your database so IMatch knows where you have moved them.
This keeps all data associated with the folders and files, metadata etc. available.

1. Make a backup of your database (while IMatch is not running).
Just do a Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V in Windows Explorer for the database file.
In case something goes wrong or you mess things up, you can close IMatch, replace the database from the copy, and start over.

2. See the information in Off-line Folders and Files in the IMatch help for information about how to deal with off-line folders and how to use the Relocate command to show IMatch the new location of your folders.
Relocation is very fast. IMatch performs some validations and then updates the database with the new folder location.
