Just downloaded and installed the new version. Everything ran smoothly. I had to reboot once after installation, presumably because of the new MS runtime components. But other than that, everything is just running fine!

Well done!

Likewise from here. No issues from the user perspective.

Excellent!
Thanks for the feedback.

A reboot may occasionally required, depending on the general state of your installation, the day of time, the moon phase and other things only Windows/Microsoft knows...  ;)

Download and install worked perfectly for me, too.  I always do a Database diagnosis and then a compact&optimize after installing a new version, and then typically create a new backup as well.  Works for me, and now that's my regular habit...

Same for me. No problems with the update. It works all seamlessly.

Thanks Mario! Great job!

For those using Norton AV software:
In the settings you have to disable the Data Protector, otherwise the installation will fail. Deactivating Norton AV via the the taskbar is not enough.

Interesting. I scan the final version using 3 locally installed anti-virus engines, plus run a full check via Google's VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com).
None of the over 50 anti-virus products there flagged the IMatch 2021.17.2 installer.
But, then, Norton AV was always a bit special.

It is almost impossible to tell which is the best Internet Security / AntiVirus solution. I'm using for many, many years Bitdefender and that works seamlessly for me.

The problem is not a false posiive, but sometimes, and like in this case, the operations performed by the installer.

Tveloso

Same here.  Smooth Install.

Thank you Mario.

Update seemed to be a clean install. An issue of my concern seems to be fixed.  https://www.photools.com/community/index.php/topic,12320.0.html
