Metadata Panel Vs. Attributes Panel

I was hoping the metadata panel would also accommodate attributes.  I know there's a dedicated panel for attributes, which is just fine for data entry, but the metadata panel is very convenient for choosing exactly which tags are desired and also their formatting attributes as well (ie., font color). 

Long ago, this post mentions the app panel for mixing attributes and metadata into a custom view, but which app in the app panel is designated for this task?  The file window tip is also very convenient, but not so much for the display of data that has a very high volume.

Metadata and IMatch Attributes are very different and managed in separate panels for technical reasons.
You can access Attributes like metadata via variables in File Windows and the File Window tip. The tip of course has limits when you deal with mass data in your attributes.
