Hi,

with IMatch 2021 the sort profile in the file window when starting IMatch normally was the same as it was in the previous session of IMatch before closing the programme. Now with IMatch 2023 the initial sort profile of the files in the file window after start of IMatch is always different - random sort profile but mainly the files are sorted by "Events", by "Orientation" or by "File Format". Usually I prefer the sort order by "Creation Date". How can I get back to the old behaviour, so that the file window is opened with the sort profile as it was before closing IMatch ?

Hi Thorsten,

I tried this already, but it doesn't make a difference if it is enabled or disabled. Just tried again.

Hi,

I played a bit more now with the "Remember Layout" setting. And indeed it works. However only for the selected folder, where I apply this setting. When IMatch starts with another folder where "Remember Layout" was not selected, the sort profile falls back to "Events", "Orientation" etc. Maybe in the past I didn't notice that, because most or all of my folders had the "Remember Layout" enabled. So if that is an intended behaviour, I think this bug report can be closed and I have to enable the "Remember Layout" setting to all of my folders and categories. However I would find it more convenient if this setting could be applied to e.g. folder including all subfolders or mother category including all child categories. Or maybe even to all contextes automatically.

The Remember Layout feature works for specific objects (folders, categories, ...) and includes both the layout, the sort profile and the toggle sort direction state.

If you switch to another object that does not use the remember layout option, the current sort profile, File Window layout etc. remain unchanged - whatever was set before you switched to the new object.
