Best/better practice in moving file(s)

I often save files I'm working on in what seems to be the best drive/folder/location, and then sometime later (days, weeks, or months!) I realize it might make more sense to move them to a different location/folder on my PC.

So: a very basic question:
Assuming that both the original location and the different one are already indexed in IMatch, is it better to:

(a) do the moving of the files within IMatch, or
(b) use Windows Explorer to move the files and then rescan the source and destination folders in IMatch?

Does it matter? Is one practice any better than the other?

Quote(a) do the moving of the files within IMatch, or
Definitely YES.
This keeps your database automatically in sync with the Windows file system.
IMatch uses the same operating system functions Windows Explorer uses, with the added bonus that it automatically updates the database.
