New sub-folders not automatically recognized and scanned

I have Background Processing > Import new and updated files automatically enabled. I also have Indexing > Include sub-folders enabled as default. This seems to work fine to automatically update files that are added or changed outside of IMatch if the containing folders or sub-folders have already been scanned.

However, new sub-folders created outside of IMatch are not automatically updated or scanned. I have to manually add them instead. Is that normal behavior, or do I need to change something to make it happen automatically?

This is the normal behavior. IMatch does not add sub-folders automatically.
