Face Recognition: Imatch ignores 1 person

Hi

One person I have is permanently ignored.  Imatch refuses to assign a single face to this person.  All faces of this person will be assigned to other persons, even the ones with the best quality.  The person will also never be listed as a second choice when you click on a name.

The person has no death date of course.  He has a correct birth date.

I played with the trained faces, untrained some, trained others. Eventually I did untrain all faces and train new ones.
What can I do?

For the rest of my persons, Imatch does ok, not great, but well, this is AI.

Reject?  You mean in "Face Manager" clicking on one face and then clicking "Reject?  Well, I possibly did this, but only where appropriate, not wrongly.

I had 50.  Then I reduced this to 30, which did not help.  Then I untrained all and then trained 10 new ones.

Using reject to often may interfere with recognition. Use reject only sparingly. I consider to removing the reject feature completely in a future IMatch version. Training more than 5 to 10 faces can actually reduce recognition rate.

OK, i can do without the "reject" feature.  I hardly used it anyway for this reason: If Imatch found the wrong person in the first place, it is easier to assign the person manually than to give Imatch a second try.  So I doubt that I used it often for this person.

How do I fix my problem?  I.e. enable Imatch to assign that person again?  I mean removing the feature will not fix existing problems but prevent them from reoccurring, or?

it is easier to assign the person manually than to give Imatch a second try. 

Tip: You can quickly let IMatch guess again (without rejecting) using the  Assign other person command (Keyboard shortcut: <G>). If there are very similar faces and IMatch picks the first, pressing <G> assigns the second person. Often saves time.

The potential removal of the reject feature is unrelated to your rather unique problem.
There is no way to debug this without having your database here in the lab and a lot of time on my hand. Sometimes AI's work in wondrous ways...

If IMatch assigns the wrong persons to the face, check the rejects and trained faces for these persons. Remove rejects, remove too many trained faces. This most likely clears up the locked state that causes the AI to fail to assign the correct person to these faces.

Alright, I removed all rejections for all persons.  Now the problem is gone, Imatch again recognizes the persons.
