What is red line at bottom of file window

What is red line at bottom of file window (yellow arrow image below) - can't find reference in docs and didn't put it there myself - well not knowingly

Hi,

The red line under an image means that the image has one or more duplicates.

See "Duplicate" in the "Categories" tab.

Not just that.

It belongs to a category which is colour coded. I have a vague recollection of having a green line in my early days with IMatch. I think that multiple colours for an image is possible.

If you color-code categories, IMatch will show these colors in the File Window Category Color Bar
By default IMatch checks for duplicate files and assigns them to the DUPLICATE category (names vary by language). This category is color-coded red.

OK so I have 8600 duplicates because I have a quite a few focus stacks and it seems to default to visual match.
I would strongly suggest the default should be binary match.

Having switched to binary match is there a way I can force duplicates to reevaluate themselves without forcing a rescan of all 135,000 images?

This setting is applied when files are indexed (new files are added to the database). Changing the setting affect only future files. You can configure this in any way you want and even disable it. The default was chosen carefully based on user feedback and typical use cases.
