I've worked on replacing the 3rd party menus with custom "IMatch" menus to make them future-proof and to deal with long-standing issues I have with the 3rd party toolbars (now replaced by my own ribbons) and menus.

I'm also in the process of recreating all icons used in IMatch for menus and other controls with a new set of vector-based icons. Ribbons already use vector-based icons, but there are literally tons of icons for commands. Tons!

This is a tedious task, but this time it's all vector based, and that means the icons will live forever, for all screen resolutions and DPI. Which is a big advantage over the 16/32 pixel icons IMatch uses now.

I've tried to match the design of the icon library I use for apps and app-based views (Event View, People View, Dashboard) so that icons look "the same" in native IMatch and apps. Another advantage.

The modern icons I've created in Affinity Designer have a fresh, modern look, with muted colors and clear renditions. I like them very much and switching back to non-experimental mode and the old menus feels weird for me now.

Here is an example of the new context menu in File Windows.
Let me know what you think.

Tip: Right-click on the attachment and select "open link in new tab" to see it at 100%.

The menus will ship with the next IMatch release. You have to enable experimental features to see them.

Looks very promising! Waiting for the next release.

Looks good to me.  I really don't know how you find the time for all this.  Any other news for things coming in the next release?  I guess it will be a 2025 thing.

No need to ask. Always up-to-date. When i fix a bug of finish a new feature, I add it to the release notes.
Experimental features are treated differently.
