Yellow warning icons on files: How to get rid of them?

I have displayed Files with pending metadata write-back and discovered files of type .txt and .docx and .pdf
with the yellow warning icon on the right hand side.
The (exiftool) warning says either: The file may be corrupted or locked ..... or
Unknown file type

The metadata pencil shows XMP::dc\Subject as the cause of its existence.

I assume this started with V.126.

Question: How do I fix this? ( Is it explainable or is it a bug?)

Try a reload metadata.
