[EXP] IMatch 2023.12.2: Missing Label color icons in Collections view

Might already have been there before 2023.12.2 (in experimental mode).

Hm. Works here in experimental mode with the 2023.12.2:

Is this persistent? I mean when you refresh the view using <F5> or you close and reopen the database, does it stay that way? Does it work when you turn experimental feature option off?

Which display resolution?
DPI scaling?
Text scaling?

Bolitho

They are missing in experimental mode only - and visible when I switch off experimental mode.

Restarting IMatch and/or F5 doesn't make any difference.

Default display setting: 4k @ 150% - haven't changed that for ages.

Interestingly only the color swatches are missing the other icons are there.

Mario

My screen shot was also taken at 4K at 150%.

Any other user having the same issue?
Any warnings in the log file (see log file)

Bolitho

Even debug log does not contain any warning - not even one.

Just guessing: Shouldn't possibly the file "...\imatch6\resources\vectors\tree-icons-col.svg" contain label swatches (what it currently doesn't)?

Tveloso

I don't see this issue here.

And I also do not see any color swatches in the tree-icons-col.svg file (it does appear to include one or two "empty" spaces between a couple of the icons though, when the file is viewed in the browser...could it be that a single "transparent" icon is there, which IMatch uses for all labels - providing a fill color at runtime?...so it's normal that the individual colors are not seen there?)

No. These swatches are dynamically created, based on the label colors you have configured under Edit > Preferences > Metadata. Plus one hatched swatch for labels not linked to a color.

Bolitho

Setting "Tree Icon Size" under Preferences/Application/User Interface to "Large" shows the swatches,
switching back to "Normal" hides them.

Ah, very good. I'll try that here. When I can reproduce it, I can fix it.
