.acr default buddies?

For a certain time now Adobe produces ".acr" sidecars depending on what you do with your files.

Are these handled as "default" buddies like ".xmp" or does one have to implement a certain buddy rule for itself?

No default buddy file rules in IMatch (except the implicit XMP).
If you work with proprietary configuration / settings / storage files produced by your RAW processor or image editor of choice, setup a buddy file rule in IMatch.
