I have entered the countries I have visited in the metadata, "Country" composite\country\0. It's in the text input section of the "Describe" layout.

When looking at the "Dashboard" I can see the list of countries. but not all of them have a quantity. There is no quantity for the Bahamas, France, Spain, etc.

This list is produced by looking at the two-letter country code in the location data of your files.
Is it filled?

I think it is three-letter county code.

Look at "Location created" tags. Are they filled? I had a similar problem some time ago and as far as I can remember that was it.

Mario

The dashboard uses a hard-coded mapping table to map between 2-ltter and 3-letter codes.

If I don't enter the country here, it doesn't show on the list in the Dashboard.

Is this correct?

The Location Shown Country/Code is used for the Dashboard.
IMatch fills this tag e.g. when you perform reverse-geocoding.

See The World Map in the IMatch help for details about which tags are considered.

For an easy test, I've located one file in Czechia in my tiny database, and ran reverse-geocode to fill the location data.

The file shows up in the Dashboard immediately.

I suggest to use IPTC Created/Shown coordinates since IMatch 2023 came out. This has good reasons.
Partially or wrong filled location metadata will cause issues in many IMatch features and in other applications.

Using reverse geocoding or filling out the relevant location data yourself when you don't want to use reverse geocoding is a good idea.

Stuntflyer

I will have to research that since I'm not familiar on just how to do that. Perhaps a screen shot would help?

Do what? Adding location data to images or reverse geocoding?
Switch the Metadata Panel to the "6. IPTC Location" layout to see the location created / location shown metadata available for your images. This is also where you would manually input location data, or check the results of  Reverse Geocoding.

IMatch mirrors many location tags (city, country, ...) between multiple metadata standards and XMP namespaces (yes, metadata is complicated) and working only with the IPTC location tags shown in this layout is the safest way to ensure that the location data is properly synchronized and available for all related features in IMatch.
