I wonder if there is a possibility to use short cuts in Metadata Layouts that just copies and pastes metadata (all or selected) insted of needing to click on the icons for clipboard and paste with the mouse? When I try Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, it copies the whole image and that us not what I want.

.... and one more: When working with Autotaggger I felt pretty disturbed by the "autoupdating" going on. So I turned that off and it got much better. I can understand why it is turned on if you update a few files but if you update lots of files it is a pain.

Coming from the fast PhotoMechanic I have come to appreciate that I myself have the possibility to force a background update with Shift+Alt+S I think it is in iMatch. I guess this is not a new discussion for you but it is new to me and I'm just not used to it yet

What do you mean by that? The Metadata Panel?

It copies which image where? IMatch has a "Copy Image" command that copies the image into the clipboard.
It's in the File Window context menu and uses the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I

To copy data in the Metadata Panel, use the normal Ctrl + C, Clt+V. You need to click into the Metadata Panel before, so Windows knows where to send your keyboard shortcut.

For more information about the advanced copy & paste features in the Metadata Panel and the associated keyboard shortcuts, see the detailed help topic: Copying Metadata Between Files

I don't understand. What is "autopdating". What did you turn of and where? If you don't know the right term or command, maybe include a screen shot in your post so I can understand what you man?
There is no autoupdatign in AutoTagger...?
