Unassigned Files?

I have 91,835 files in my 2025.1.14 database. Each one of them has been keyworded in the past by Autotagger or manually by me, and that is confirmed by a count of 91,835 showing in the IMatch Workflow Category named 'Has Keywords'.

At the very bottom of the category list is one named 'Unassigned Files', and that has 8,463 files.

When I display the thumbnails of those 8,463 files and select any one of them at random, I can see the keywords that have been assigned to them in the Keywords Panel. But when I switch the panel to displaying the Categories they are assigned to, the 'Has Keywords' category is unchecked.

What would cause this to happen? Do I need to update something? Note that I do not write back IMatch data to any of my files; everything is maintained only in the database.

Unassigned refers to directly assigned files: @Unassigned
Data-driven categories like @Keywords don't count.

Okay. I now see that the only category assigned to the vast majority of my files is AutoTagged, so that must be considered a directly assigned category. The other 8,463 are files that I tagged manually.

One of my files is also in the category named AutoTagger, which was presumably added in v2025 when the autotagging procedure was changed. I have only tried it on one file so far. Duplicates is another directly assigned category.

Is there an easy way to know which other built-in categories are considered directly assigned?

Every category that is not a data-driven category or based on a formula. Easy to tell via the icon: Category Icons
