I have some really old videos (1990'ish) that I converted to AVI's on disk. The thumbnails show up in 3 but not 5. They play on media player but no thumbnails?

The files are a little funky (some dropped frames, etc.) but they do play in media player. Any thoughts?

IMatch uses Windows services to produce thumbnails from video files or an installed WIC coded.
Without a log file or more info I will be unable to help you here.

Another one of those bug reports...fails for you, works here.

I could produce a thumbnail from the AVI you've sent without problems. IMatch even displays a 600 pixel or so preview in the Viewer.
I have not installed any special software or WIC codec for AVI and I ran my test on Windows 7.

I have MediaPlayer installed (comes with W7 anyway) and the VideoLan video player. Not sure if any of these two "upgrades" the abilities of Windows to render thumbnails for AVI files. Support for AVI in Windows is usually quite good, for AVI being a Microsoft format, after all.
