Canon 6D and XMP

XMP rating does not show up (5.0.150) from ratings using FPV. With the Canon 5Dmk2, Nikon D800E etc  it works fine. Ratings show up in Capture One and other programs that I use.
Tried Rescan/forcing update etc but nothing works.

Does the image have an embedded XMP record as well as a sidecar file?
To test: Select the CR2 file and then open the ExifTool command Processor via <F9>,<E>
There, use the "list metadata" preset to show us what's in the file.

The last time this problem was reported the CR2 file had an embedded XMP record with a rating which overruled the sidecar rating.
Solution: Delete the rating in the CR2 file.

Hi Mario, the only difference on the 6D is that it has built in GPS  ..  I have turned it off ( I believe ) but it seems to drain the battery when powered off.

The CR2 file reports a

[XMP-xmp]       Rating                          : 0

which means that it overrules the rating read from the XMP file.

Remove the rating (or better, all XMP data from the CR2 file). Select it and then run

-overwrite_original
-xmp=
{Files}
