There are many features in the file window which may go unnoticed unless you've read through the corresponding topic of the help - at least once.
The File Window help topic explains all the features of file windows, including sort profiles, layouts, the hierarchical display modes (and why they are needed/useful) etc. I can only encourage everybody to read these topics because you may be missing some cool features which save you a lot of time...  ;)

read through the corresponding topic of the help - at least once Mario I would love to read  through this but I can't find it. Would you explain to me how to do this?

Several possible ways:
1. Open IMatch 5 and click on an image in the File Window (to ensure the File Window is selected). Press F! (the standard Windows Help key). This will open the File Window topic in Help.

2. Alternatively, open IMatch 5 and click Help in the menu bar at the top, and then Open the Help System. Choose Contents in Help and then see the File Window topic.
