If you accidentally or intentionally 'dismiss' the Load Progress Dialog, is it possible, or in the future would be possible to activate the Load Progress Dialog?  I know that indexing will continue in the background, but from experience I know that there is also a higher probability of a crash in that mode.

There's a power outage and my UPS is about to die - got to go.

There is no way to re-enable the log progress dialog.
If you think such a feature would be useful, add a feature request so it is recored and I may consider it for a later release.

Mario,
I found a work-around.

As soon as I loaded IM5 I first did a Database Diagnostic, then went to folder that had only one (1) picture in it and did a Ctrl-Shft-F5.  This started up the Load Progress Dialog because of the thousands of entries already in the queue.

Turns out that just a shft-F5 does the trick as well.

Apparently on any folder with photos in or under it.  Probably works with any supported file type.

A very clever workaround.  ;D

Desperation can sometime make you try things that you wouldn't normally think of.
Thanks.
