I copied your own words, Mario,  ;D into this feature request.

From Mario:
When you stack by a variable, IMatch first determines how many unique values there are (including the empty value) and then stacks images for each the resulting groups. You can use variable formatting functions to replace the empty value with something, but then all files without a value will just end up in another stack. I would have to add an option like "Don't stack files with empty variable". This would be a feature request and I suggest you copy/paste your request into a new feature request.

Would be great to have! Thanks in advance for looking into this.

I think I'd support this feature.  I already use an attribute to tie my panorama and HDR images together for data purposes.

I would think such a feature could work in a method similar to filtering out certain values in Data-Driven Categories works.  These seem like similar features.

Mario

Added an option to ignore files for which the variable expression returns an empty result. Build 5.1.0.6.

Thanks a lot, Mario!  :) :) :)

For me -and I hope also for others- this could be a real good thing! I think now, with the new version I will do the step for me and convert and migrate to IM 5!

Because it offers a lot (more than IM3.6).

Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)
