I do not know this exactly, but you can change the colour of the outline. (see help "Versioning, Configuration"), in the preferences-file relations and tab versioning.

Yes I know about the outline thanks. I wish to change the colour of the version itself

You cannot change this icon. It's fixed, built in into the IMatch resources.
