Hi,

I see many messages like

E> CIMSQ: Physical database damage: 'database disk image is malformed'

in your log file. This indicates that the IMatch settings database C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.pts is damaged.

The settings database contains all IMatch and Pack & Go settings. If this file is damaged, P&G cannot longer store settings or load them.

Since settings databases uses the same reliable database technology IMatch uses itself (and Google, and Apple, and Adobe, Microsoft and Boing) the settings database usually never becomes damaged. Did you have any disk problems, hard power failures or similar recently?

IMatch makes a backup copy of the file C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.bak.
While IMatch / Pack & Go are not running, copy this file to C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.pts.

Retry. If this fails, both files are damaged

Restore the file from the last working backup (you may need to go back a few days).

If this is not possible, try the disaster recovery in IMatch:

Make a copy of C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.pts.
Start IMatch. Go to Database > Tools > Repair...
Open C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.pts and see if the database system can repair the database.
This command is intended for physically damaged IMatch databases, but also works on .pts files.

if all fails, delete C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatch5.pts (while IMatch / P&G are not running). IMatch will restore all settings to default values. If you can still run IMatch, I suggest you make note (screen shots!) from everything under Edit > Preferences > ...

Do you mean the database has become damaged right after IMatch has re-created it?
I never heard about such an effect. Most strange.
Please send me the PTS file.

Re-installing IMatch will do no harm, but I doubt this is related.
Do you have any unusual software running? Potential disk problems? Did you run a diagnosis on the disk in Windows to ensure that the disk is OK?

Yes I deleted pts file
started Imatch and opened image DB and closed DB (log in last post)
started Pack and go on Exit (or started it myself I don't remember) and exit direct without doing anything(log in last post)

It's an SSD disk
I was doing error control, reporting no error
Hard disk Sentinel is reporting status as 100% perfect

The database analysis does not find any problem in that file.
I could open it here in IMatch as well, no error messages. No warnings from the database system neither.

Do you perhaps run some software which may interfere with IMatch e.g., blocking access to the settings database file (virus checker, other software running in the background)...?

I disable sonar and virus searching  for Norton on C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5 and sub folders but still same error message

I need to think what I have done  that could be reason for this

Maybe it's time for me to reinstall Windows and check and see what program  gives me this problem

Thanks now I at least know what to look for !

I assume that you can still not save data to the settings file, even the new one?

No it's not save any data for Pack & Go on new file

in Image
I tested sysinternals handle.exe
1st is then pack & Go is running
second it's not running
so it's looks like no program locking file

I have no problem to delete file (normal it's then it's looked)

Sorry, I missed that in my first post. The PTS file is C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatchpag5.pts not imatch5.pts. Try to delete the C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch5\config\imatchpag5.pts file to reset all Pack & Go settings.

The log file does.
I just don't recall a single case where the pack & go settings file was damaged. I just did read the entire log file.
