Are categoty imports cumulative?

The reason I ask is that I have quite a lot of Cat*.imcsx backups with different dats and sizes.

I also have 3 recent databases (was not conscious I had set them up) I uses the "biggest" (max number of files) and I find that some files I am (reasonably) sure to have assigned during the last 2-3 month are not assigned.

Can I re import imcsx files from the past 6 month and get a sort of sum of all the cat assignments that are stored? I did not reorganize or rename files, simply dragged some new folders into IM.

I also have a series of recent impag files, but some days ago I deleted all prior to June 23...

1. Make backup of your database.
2. Import the categories.  Note: Category imports always add, newer remove categories. So they are cumulative.

I'll backup the DB  and re-import my cat back ups from the last 6 months, hope to get it complete.
