Hi:

I just shot about 5,000 pictures over a two week vacation.  I had the camera set to 2013 (instead of 2014).  I now need to modify all of the pictures from 2013 to 2014.  Is the best way to do this to use the "Commands/Image/Modify Exif date and then put a checkmark on Update Original date and time and Update Digitized date and time and then choose "relative" and put a 1 in years (see attachment)?

I want to make sure that when I do this I will affect all the different dates that are related to each image.

If someone has a better way to do this please let me know.

Thanks a lot!

Mike

That is how I recently did it for a vacation where I forgot to change time zones, but it was only a 6 hour shift. Why don't you pick several files and give it a try and check out the results in the metadata panel before doing all 5000 shots.

Have you tried it with one file and checked that the results are what you expect? This would be the easiest way.
And, of course, you should only modify files for which you have backups.
