Is there a way to disable the info popup in the viewer?
It' just annoys me.

This tooltip shows automatically when you move the mouse cursor inside the upper half of the thumbnail. This functionality cannot be disabled.

If you navigate by clicking on thumbnails keep the mouse in the mirror area below the thumb or in the lower half of the thumb. Or use the scroll wheel or the cursor keys to navigate instead of clicking into thumbnails. I consider the info popup actually a very important feature, especially if you don't show the text overlay.

The popup may be useful, but not for me. It simply gets in the way, covering part of the image I want to look at.
The scroll wheel isn't any good for me either as I usually skip a number of images and clicking on the thumbnails is the fastest method to get to the image I want.
I have now created an "empty" layout for the popup which reduces the problem (at least it doesn't cover the image anymore). But a simple option to disable it would be welcome. I'll post a feature request.

Btw, I tried to set the display time for the popup to 0, but that didn't work. That would be a simple way to disable it, in theory, but I noticed that this setting is ignored by the viewer anyway.

(....) I'll post a feature request.

I'll add a +1 when you've posted that feature request Carlo  :)

I have a built-in, strong, strong desire to have control over all pop-ups, from where-ever they occur and however useful they (sometimes - just sometimes) can genuinely be!  Usually I turn them off, when it's possible to do so.

This was one of the very rare changes which actually took only a few minutes. And I had to have a rest from searching for the dreaded "categories don't propagate" bug which I did for hours today.
