what is a IMatch "impag" file?

I'm looking for a database backup I created. Under a folder titled Imatch 5, where I usually keep my backups, I found a file titled IMatch5_20140719.impag. It's about 6 gB, typical of my other back up file sizes. Any idea what this is for? Should I delete it?

Also, is restoring a backup as simple as copying the .IMD5 file from the backup location to the current database directory? I don't think the help has a step by step guide for doing this.

impag is a file created with IMatch Pack & Go.
