Mario,

QuoteIn the rare occasion where you may need to remove a file from the database, but not from the disk, you can use the Remove File(s) from Database command available in the context menu of the file window, in the Additional Functions sub-menu.

It is not that rare that I need to remove an image from the DB!
In my workflow I do use LR also to delete images.
Back in IM5 I like to filter for offline fotos in the current view / select all / delete from Database

A shortcut would be highly appreciated, thanks
Cheers, Michael

A simple rescan of the folder will remove all off-line / missing files automatically.
You can filter for off-line / missing files via the Filter Panel, File Attributes filter.

But would probably take much longer...

I know that already  ;)

I just wrote how I imagine how I would do that...

A rescan is very quick, even if new images are found. This is the suggested method to bring your database in synch with changes you make externally.

The Remove from Database command is a special command for very special situations, e.g. when a user accidentally 'folds' folders by relocating them wrong or to fix problems introduced by testing scripts and the like. Nothing for general use.
