Allow control of filters from within a script (At least On/Off)

When I use a script to select a set of files and then display them in a Result Window
the displayed files are filtered. It is up to the user to know that s/he has to disable the filter
to see all files.

Best: Allow turning filter on/off and allow selecting filter presets.

Minimum: Allow to turn OFF or at least be able to read the status of the filter (is it ON or OFF)

If filters could be turned ON/OFF for a specific window only it would,of course, be so much more useful.
