Filter size relative to currently selected files?

According to the help file there should be a filter with dimensions "relative to the selected files". I can't figure out how to set up such a filter in the filter panel. Could someone help?

I don't know what the "relative mode" in the dimensions filter would be. Maybe a textual leftover from earlier setups?
I don't see how to "filter" images into a search window via the dimensions filter.
