Double and triple entries in metadata of versions

After versioning of my images there are triple entries of my name in
Composite - Creator
Exif - Artist
IPTC - By-Line
XMP Dublin Core - Author
XMP TIFF -Artist

Maybe the problem is my Metadata Template?
It is:
Composite\Copyright - my name
XMP::dc\Creator - my name
XMP::photoshop\CaptionWriter - my name

Or is it propagation?
I propagate:
All Metadata
Classic IPTC Data (IIM)
EXIF Data
XMP All Data

Further there are double entries in XMP Adobe Lightroom - Hierarchical Keywords (they are listed twice).

Any help would be appreciated.

There are already a number of reports about the same problem. I will look into this shortly. My guess would be a language issue. Some of these tags are automatically mapped by ExifTool when MWG rules are applied.

Please give us more info:

File formats?
Is there already data in the file?
Which metadata language do you use?
Is there already metadata in a different language in the file, or data not marked with a language?
Software used to create / process these files?
A sample file (before AND after) would also be required.

Hi Mario,

did you have the time to look into this issue?

Mario,

It is not dependent on MGW ON or OFF...
Nor on language setting, I just reverted to english-US ==> same issue.

In fact it occurs after any modification of modifiable fields in Core data in the Metadata Panel. Not true, just modified Headline: only one instance is copied to the target
