I bought Macrium Reflect after two weeks of testing. It does what I need with a minimum of fuzz.

What I miss is some kind of feedback while it runs.

MR runs under a different (Admin) user account and hence cannot interact with the desktop directly, Acronis did the same, but worked around that by installing an extra process. This process monitors TI while running in the background and then displays a taskbar icon etc. MR as of now does not this so you can only tell if it runs by listening to the hard disk. Or by opening the MR application manually.

I let it send a status email when it has completed or if there was a problem.

I also bought Reflect and ditched TrueImage after a few weeks evaluation and test backups and restores.
I like what it does, it gives you more details and logs compared to TI, and to me has a more usable user interface. I find it also faster than TI.

Mario, you can monitor the status and progress of a backup, there is a status windows during backup which you can open from the status bar.

This only works if the backup runs under the same user you log in with. Since I use a user account without Admin rights for normal work, I cannot run MR under that user.
