I noticed that the thumbnail display doesn't seem to show "_" in the filename with my thumbnail settings.. the filename is E-420_         IMAGE_5310923:

Thoughts?  and Thx - andy.

All of my file names contain underscores (_) and they show up in my thumbnails.  Are you by chance using a custom template that replaces _ with spaces?

Mario

The _ is a frequent component of image file names, e.g. in the _DSC prefix used by many cameras to denote the Adobe color space. It usually shows without a problem.

Note that IMatch uses XAML rendering for the file window, which is ignorant to spaces. Multiple subsequent spaces will be compacted to one space, unless you replace the spaces with the   code (see help). For _ no special processing is required, not even in custom templates. Unless you use custom templates and access the file name via some form of variable which removes or skips the _ for some reason...

I guess, you have simply let not enough room (space) under the first line.

Ah, this is a good hint!

Wasn't there a report that on a few systems the calculation of the line height (in auto mode) was off by one or two pixels?

Test: Open your file window layout and set the Height attribute of the cell for the FileName attribute to 20 pixel or something. Does this solve the Problem? If so, are you using the most recent version of IMatch 5?

Yes, Mario, I can also vaguely remember, this was the case once.
And because I work(ed) a lot with this layout, I had the same thing sometimes, that is why I am quite sure, that this can be the problem.

If so, there is an easy solution, like you pointed out more clear than me.

If the OP uses an older version of IMatch, he just may need to update...

Hi Everyone.. sorry.. was away for a week...

Using the latest version of IM and yes.. this is a custom template.  Set height to 16 and all is well (sorry - I missed that option or I would have tried it!)... so.. all set!

Many thx!!
