Is there a way to limit the number of categories stored in Category History?

For a massive categorizing project, it would be handy to be able to limit the number of recent categories to include only the top 20 or so, so that the display doesn't scroll. I know I can create a tab with only the top 20 categories, but if there's a setting I can adjust to limit the display to the most recently selected 20 categories, that's simpler and quicker for my particular workflow.

This dynamic list always contains the last 50 categories. This value is fixed.
